Kipchumba Murkomen has defended the government’s security approach, saying it strictly follows the law while dealing with crime.
Speaking during a public address, Murkomen took a swipe at previous regimes, claiming that past leaders were associated with unlawful killings and bodies being dumped in places like River Yala. He contrasted that with the current administration, which he insisted operates within legal frameworks.
“Our government is so effective that even former wrongdoers are surprised we do not kill people and dump them in River Yala as was allegedly done before. We only deal with criminals, and we follow the law,” he stated.
His remarks have sparked mixed reactions, with some supporting the government’s stance on law and order, while others are calling for continued accountability and transparency in security operations.
