A 53-year-old woman from Murang’a County has openly announced that she is looking for a husband. Nancy Gathoni, whose story was recently highlighted by Njenga Njeru, said she is not ashamed of declaring that she is single and ready to settle down.
Gathoni revealed that she has never been married before, a decision she made earlier in life for personal reasons. However, she now feels it is time to change her mind and find a man she can build a future with.
She is looking for a man who has direction and stability in life—someone she can sit down with to discuss ideas, investment plans and how to build a stable home. She emphasized that the man must be serious in his search for a wife and should be 50 years of age or older.
Gathoni added that any man interested should also be financially stable and involved in something that generates income to support family life. She is also open to a partner who has children, saying she has no problem forming a blended family. Although she is a mother of one adult son, they do not live together.
Describing herself, Gathoni said she is a hardworking businesswoman, very stable, talkative, outgoing and religious. She hopes to meet a man who can complement these traits and is willing to take the role of the head of the family.
She encouraged anyone who fits her criteria to reach out, saying she is fully ready to settle down.
