G Baga Hitmaker Stoopid Boy: I’m Always Drunk Juu Ya Heartbreak, Mrembo Wangu ni Pombe pekee

For a while now, Kenyans have been curious about the reasons behind one of the most promising musicians, known for his hit song “Gbaga Jat,” constantly being under the influence of substances like alcohol.

Though he first gained attention with his track “Madocho,” things didn’t quite take off for him until 2024 when his music finally hit mainstream success. Despite his rise, many Kenyans, particularly in the comments sections of his posts, have suggested that while Stoopid Boy is undeniably talented, his potential could shine even brighter if he left drugs and alcohol behind.

In a candid interview, the artist opened up about his struggles with substance use. He revealed that he once fell deeply in love with a woman, but when she unexpectedly left him, it shattered him in a way he never thought was possible. The heartbreak became the catalyst for his reliance on alcohol, and he confessed that drinking has become a form of healing, helping him cope with the pain of losing someone he thought he would be with forever.

Stoopid Boy went on to say that he has sworn off love entirely and that this painful experience inspired his lyrics for the song “Madem Wameparara Kaa Dancer wa Willy Paul.” He expressed a disillusionment with women, believing that all they do is lie, and now, alcohol is the only “companion” he trusts. According to him, it has become both his lover and his remedy for heartache.
