Abel Mutua, a renowned figure in Kenya’s entertainment industry, publicly took a stand against a prominent media outlet, NTV, which is part of the Nation Media Group, for disseminating inaccurate information about him.
Abel Mutua, a highly accomplished content creator, scriptwriter, and a prominent Kenyan celebrity with an unblemished record, decided to address the issue of NTV sharing misleading details concerning him.
In an official article posted on their website and shared on their Facebook page, NTV featured a story about Abel Mutua and his close business partner and dear friend, Philip Karanja, who jointly own the production company, Philit Productions.
NTV’s article contained allegations that Abel Mutua and Philip Karanja had secured a lucrative deal with Netflix, purportedly amounting to Ksh. 8.8 million. This news came as a shock to Abel, prompting him to respond to the media house. He expressed his disappointment with NTV for disseminating false information about him and clarified that he was unaware of any such deal.
It is important to note that Abel Mutua and his production company possess the potential to collaborate with Netflix, given their remarkable capabilities. However, the current reality suggests that they have not yet finalized any such agreement with Netflix, as implied by NTV. Nevertheless, their actual achievement lies in their genuinely credible film production company.
