DCI sleuths are in hot pursuit of an 18 y/o man who is said to have beaten his father to death after the deceased sold his chicken.
It is reported that the teenager from Londiani, Kericho County committed the crime on Sunday, June 13 after an argument with his father over missing chicken.
According to a report by the DCI, the suspect confronted his 50 year old dad, Wilson Kipsoi after he returned home to find an empty chicken pen.
“Angered by the confrontation, Kipsoi threatened to shoot his son with arrows, forcing the form four student at Kapcheplanga day Secondary school, to flee and seek refuge at a neighbour’s house,” the DCI said.
The suspect is said to have returned home later on armed with a club where he descended oon his father with kicks and blows.
“He descended on him and assaulted him repeatedly using the crude weapon, while demanding compensation for his missing chickens,” the DCI said.
After beating the old man, the suspect went into hiding leaving the father dead unconscious.
He was however rescued by neighbors who rushed him to the Londiani Sub-county Hospital where he died receiving treatment.
