Unfortunately, Westside Mall gained unwelcome attention in January 2022 due to a disturbing incident. A group of five robbers forcefully entered the branch of Prime Bank located within the mall and made off with Sh 2.3 million. Suraj Rawal, the branch manager at Westside Mall, reported that the robbers, armed with a homemade gun, hammer, knives, and a machete, entered the banking hall around 4:30 pm. Rawal promptly informed the Nakuru Police Station at 6:32 pm, and the incident was recorded under the OB number 98/26/1/2022. CCTV footage revealed that one of the guards had opened the main door for the suspects, who subsequently proceeded to the rear banking hall
