COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli has issued a strong warning to UDA Secretary-General Cleophas Malala and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, saying he has the political influence to stop both leaders from rising further.
Speaking during a recent event, Atwoli dismissed Malala’s frequent mentions of his name, claiming the UDA official was provoking him without understanding his political weight.
Atwoli said Malala should not boast about winning the MCA seat in Khuisero years ago, arguing that such a position holds little significance compared to the national political influence he commands.
He went on to caution both Malala and Gachagua that if they want to understand the extent of his political power, they will see it clearly in the 2027 elections.
His remarks have sparked reactions online, with supporters and critics weighing in on the escalating war of words between the veteran trade unionist and UDA leaders.
