A family in Mai Mahiu, Nakuru County, is reeling from grief after the body of their daughter, 29-year-old Naomi Wanjiru Mburu, was discovered at Nairobi’s City Mortuary alongside that of her boyfriend.
Naomi had gone missing on August 25 after leaving home for a night out in Mlolongo, Machakos County, with her boyfriend and friends. When she failed to return and her phone went unanswered, her worried relatives filed a missing person’s report.
Days later, the heartbreaking news came: Naomi and her boyfriend had been found dead, their bodies reportedly abandoned in Embakasi before being transferred to the morgue.
The family is demanding a thorough investigation into the mysterious deaths, urging authorities to move quickly and bring those responsible to justice.
“We need answers,” a distraught relative said. “We want to know what happened to our daughter and her boyfriend and ensure that justice is served.”
Naomi’s death has left her community in shock. Friends and family remember her as a vibrant, kindhearted young woman who spread joy wherever she went.
As mourners rally around the grieving family, the call for accountability grows louder, with many hoping that by shedding light on Naomi’s case, similar tragedies can be prevented in the future.
For now, the family’s search for truth and justice continues as investigations into the grim deaths unfold.
