Ex-Inooro TV Presenter Ken Wakuraya Launches His Own Website and A Book

Esteemed Kikuyu news anchor and renowned presenter, Ken Wakuraya, celebrated for his prime-time news hosting on Inooro TV, unveiled his latest news website, Kenlive.co.ke, during an event held at Sportview in Kasarani on Saturday, October 7.

During an interview with a reliable source, Wakuraya elucidated that the platform would be dedicated to providing comprehensive news coverage across a wide array of sectors, encompassing politics, business, entertainment, and more.

Furthermore, he divulged that the process of assembling a substantial news team had already commenced, although he refrained from revealing the precise number of journalists he intended to bring on board. “We’re in the midst of recruitment,” he affirmed, “and this platform aims to encompass all aspects of news, particularly politics, setting it apart from other internet-based news outlets.”

The website features a user-friendly layout, boasting a prominent “Trending” section, a distinctive maroon background, and a logo that resonates with his television brand. Notably, it is seamlessly linked to his personal YouTube channel, which documents his work and has garnered an impressive 28,000 subscribers to date.

When pressed about his notable absence from television, which had been observed by his dedicated followers over a three-month span, Wakuraya chose to remain tight-lipped regarding whether he had parted ways with his position at Inooro TV, under the banner of Royal Media Services.

In accordance with reports from various sources, speculation arose that the media personality’s departure from Royal Media Services might have arisen from disputes with his superiors. In response, Wakuraya stated, “I am the only one with credible information, and I am not prepared to disclose any details at this time.”

Wakuraya’s journey in the media industry began immediately after completing high school, initially via acting. However, due to the meager remuneration in the acting realm, he left that profession and ventured into selling secondhand clothing, commonly known as Mitumba. He had previously worked at a pharmacy before returning to acting, securing a role on the renowned show Tahidi High, and subsequently landing a position at Inooro TV following the channel’s inception.
