In the midst of the chaotic scene, the experienced preacher addressed journalists and pointed accusatory fingers at the government, claiming that the demolition was politically motivated.
“I never expected to be treated in this manner. It’s disheartening that this is the same government we supported during the campaigns,” lamented Wanjiru.
“It’s difficult for me to believe that they could take such actions against me, especially considering my efforts in promoting UDA in Nairobi,” she added.
Wanjiru detailed how the alleged land grabbers not only assaulted them but also confiscated their phones before proceeding with the demolition.
Describing the distressing encounter, the preacher disclosed sustaining severe injuries from the attackers and announced her intention to seek medical attention at a hospital.
