A disturbing video showing a 21-year-old woman being confronted, slapped and allegedly kicked out of her home by her parents for not having a boyfriend has sparked a heated debate on social media.
In the video circulating online, the father is seen confronting the young woman and questioning how long she intends to continue living with them, reminding her that she is already 21 years old and should start living independently. Watch Video
The woman reportedly tells her father that she has not yet found the right man, a response that appears to anger him before he slaps her.
As the confrontation continues, the mother is also seen supporting the decision, telling her daughter that it was time for her to leave the house and find a man with whom she could start a new life.
According to the claims accompanying the video, the woman was eventually forced to leave the house at night. She was reportedly given her suitcase and bags containing her clothes, together with $756, before being told to go and start her own life.
The incident has since sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some people supporting the parents’ decision and arguing that a 21-year-old should be independent.
Others, however, condemned the alleged violence and said the parents should have given their daughter more time to make her own decisions and find a partner when she was ready.
