Kenyan men have been advised to remain cautious, especially those who enjoy spending their evenings partying in Kilimani, Nairobi, following reports circulating on social media about a woman allegedly targeting men in nightclubs.
According to the reports and videos making rounds online, the woman, identified as “Dorcas” — although this is reportedly not her real name — allegedly approaches men who are alone in clubs and starts a conversation with them. Watch Video
The reports claim that she then buys them alcohol and allegedly continues drinking with them until they become heavily intoxicated.
It is further alleged that after the men become drunk, she takes them to her apartment, where they are reportedly subjected to abuse. The claims further allege that after the encounters, the woman sends KSh150,000 to the men’s bank accounts or M-Pesa numbers.
However, the circumstances surrounding the allegations remain unclear, and there is no independent confirmation of the claims circulating online.
It is also unclear why the woman would allegedly engage in such actions or whether the money allegedly sent to the men is connected to the reported incidents.
The reports have nonetheless sparked reactions online, with some Kenyans urging men to exercise caution when meeting strangers in entertainment spots.
Men enjoying themselves in Kilimani and other nightlife areas have been encouraged to remain aware of their surroundings, avoid excessive drinking and ensure they are comfortable with the people they choose to leave entertainment venues with.
Until the claims are independently verified or addressed by the relevant authorities, the allegations should be treated as reports circulating on social media rather than established facts.
