Meet New Spice FM Situation Room Co-host after Eric Latiff’s exit From Station

Eric Latiff, former host of The Situation Room podcast, recently announced his departure from Spice FM, marking the end of an era for the show’s dynamic discussions. Shortly after his exit, Latiff revealed that he would be joining Nation Media Group (NMG).

To ensure the continuity of the Spice FM show, Standard Media has appointed Dennis Aseto as the acting host. Aseto will team up with CT Muga and Ndu Okoh, stepping into Latiff’s role temporarily.

Dennis Aseto is a well-established journalist and TV presenter, best known for his engaging reporting style and in-depth coverage of a variety of topics. His career in media spans several years, having gained prominence during his time at KTN News.

Aseto’s experience extends beyond television, as he has worked in radio broadcasting, media relations, and corporate communications.

His journey in journalism began in August 2008 when he served as a radio presenter at ENC Radio. After a year, he joined Royal Media Services in September 2009, staying there until February 2010. From August 2009 to October 2015, Aseto held the position of Head of News at 1FM.

He then transitioned to Homeboyz Radio, where he worked from October 2015 to May 2021. Initially a Breakfast News Anchor, Aseto eventually became Head of News, overseeing the News Desk and content distribution.

In May 2021, Aseto joined the Standard Group as a news reader, a position he still holds. Additionally, he founded and serves as CEO of the Convos With Toll podcast, which he launched in March 2019. This podcast focuses on everyday issues that often go under the radar, providing a platform for important but overlooked discussions.

Given his extensive experience in journalism and podcasting, Aseto’s appointment as interim host was a natural choice as Standard Media seeks a permanent replacement for Eric Latiff.
