A Man identified as Emmanuel Mateka Malele has been charged at Kibera Law Courts after he was accused of raping a woman at the City Park Forest in Nairobi on April 19.
The man pleaded guilty but begged the Principal Magistrate, Derrick Kutos to be lenient in his ruling see that he is old and can’t survive in prison.
“The woman who I raped is an adult. That is why I haven’t thought twice about admitting guilt. I’m urging the court not to jail me because am old,” Emanuel told the court.
It is reported that the man met the lady on the said day at Nairobi’s city center and the lady asked Mateka if he knew of any job openings.
Mateka is said to have lured the lady to the forest at 5pm where he allegedly threatened the lady with a knife and threatened to kill her if she didn’t let him have his way with her.
Mateka is also said to have stolen the lady’s phone and Ksh 300 after raping her.
