Self confessed child serial killer, Mastan Wanjala has today, October 15, been lynched by angry residents at Mukhweya, Bungoma County after he escaped from police custody two days ago.
In a video obtained by us as seen below (Video at end of the article), angry residents are captured mercilessly beating the killer.
Wanjala had just escaped from Jogoo Road Police station where he was being held awaiting trial.
Wanjala escaped custody under unclear circumstances.According to reports, he was expected to appear before Madaraka Law Court on Wednesday, October 13.
He faces 13 counts of murder after he confessed to killing over 15 children.The 20-years-old led sleuths to two crime scenes in Machakos and five more in Nairobi with two more in Kajiado oon September 2021.
He on September 1, led homicide detectives based at the DCI to a residence in Bungoma where he allegedly buried some oof his victims.
Also in Sosio village, Kimilili Constituency he lew the sleuths to where he had buried a 9-year-old in a pit Latrine in February 2019.
When the boost was discovered, area residents descended on the family members promoting officers to arrest the home owner, Haron Ajenga.
