Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has reveled that out of 870,561 candidates who were eligible for placements in universities and colleges only 285,698 submitted applications for placements through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) portal.
Speaking during the release of result of Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service at the Kenya School of government in Nairobi ,Cs Machogu said the number of student how have secured placement for Degree programs are 140 107. out of which 130,485 will attend public university 9662 to attend private university.
Also 144,500 students have been placed in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVETs) while 560 applicants have been placed in secondary teacher training colleges.
All students can check their details by sending their KCSE index numbers via SMS to 20842. The results will also be placed on the KUCCPS portal.
