UN Deputy SG Amina Mohammed Tests Positive For COVID-19 Hours After Meeting With President Uhuru

A couple of hours after holding a meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta, the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, Mrs Amina Muhammed, has however positive for COVID-19.

Amina took to social media where she affirmed testing positive for the deadly disease.

Luckily, Amina noted that she is among the people who got vaccinated against the virus.

She went further and revealed that she will be isolated from the public, and asked the world to keep embracing the vaccine so everybody is protected

As per WHO, immunized people are in a superior situation to fight the virus when contrasted with those that are not vaccinated.

“I have tested positive for COVID-19. Grateful to be one of the privileged to have been vaccinated as I think of the millions still without protection. Let us continue to push for vaccines leaving no one behind. (1/2)

Amina had before held a closed door meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta and other African leaders, in which they discussed sustainable development and peace in Africa.

Amina was a Nigerian minister before she was appointed to her current position at the UN.
