United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party leader, William Ruto has come out calling President Uhuru Kenyatta for betraying him.
The second in command accused the president of not supporting his presidential bid ahead of the upcoming August General Elections.
Ruto was speaking on Saturday after he was cleared by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to contest for presidency.
He noted that in 2013 and 2017, he and Uhuru had agreed that the president would stay in power for two terms then after the tenure is over he (Uhuru) would support Ruto in his bid; ‘yangu Kumi na ya Ruto Kumi’.
In 2018, the president went into an agreement with Opposition leader, Raila Odinga which was dubbed as the Handshake and since then, the president has been supporting Odinga in his presidential bid.
Defiant Ruto stated that Uhuru betrayed him like Judas Iscariot in 2018 even after he helped him win the presidency in 2013/17.
He spoke in Kamukunji by a host of Kenya Kwanza Allied politician.
