Sunday, January 16, was a dark day in Murang’a County as five bizarre and sad death news hit the county.
One of the unfortunate news was about the death of two Michuki Technical College who drowned at River Mathioya during a picnic.
As we had earlier reported, Dan Waweru and his friend, Helen had gone to the river for picnic with some other friends and as fate would have it, the lady slipped into the river and Dan tried to rescue her but slipped also.
The 23-year-old had earlier attended church, went for afternoon prayers and then later gone to the picnic at the Mathioya River with friends.
He had also updated his WhatsApp with a Bible verse from Peter chapter four verse eight which talked about love.
“He loved preaching and he was just a godly person. I have been friends with him for a long time and I can say he was just a good person, so good,” his friend King’ori told this writer.
The two bodies are yet to be retrieved from the river.
