The Grade Five student’s hunger for knowledge caught the attention of Kisii police boss who visited her in their home According to the National Police Service, Francis Kooli visited the little girl to help her in her academics.
Janet Memusi, is a Grade Five pupil at Ololchani Primary School in Transmara West,
Kooli visited Memusi in her village to ascertain the child’s wellbeing and to support her academic journey. “Her teachers reported that she is a disciplined and hardworking girl whose efforts have paid off in her performance in school. Janet’s gesture is a boost to the girl child education campaign in the area where indices of girls’ enrolment in school have improved lately,” the police service said.
