The Murang’a Gubernatorial race has taken a new turn after the county’s Women Rep, Sabina Chege expressed her interest in the seat.
Sabina asked Murang’a County residents to support her bid and giver her the votes promising that she willi deliver as expected.
“I will be vying for the Governorship of Murang’a and I pray that the people of Murang’a will support me. It is not because I am the best but it is through God’s grace that I believe I will be able to transform Murang’a,” she said.
“I have been the County Woman Rep for two terms now. I understand my people, I understand where things are going wrong and I understand where I am going to improve,” she said.
“Above all, I am a mother. I will be able to bring everybody together; our education professionals, our young people, our elder people so that we bring back Murang’a’s glory,” Chege added.
The seat is currently under the leadership of Governor Mwangi Wa Iria and over seven candidates have shown interest in the county’s top seat.
Among the candidates who have shown interest in the Murang’a Gubernatorial seat are, the current seantor, Irungu Kang’ata, Jamleck Kamau, Irungu Kang’ata and Doctor Moses Ndung’u.
