Sabina Chege takes a break for the August 9 general elections.

Vocal Murang’a County Woman Representative, Sabina Chege has decided to take a break for the upcoming General Election.

This move has caused massive reactions and questions concerning her political allegiance.

A section of Kenyans have been alleging that the lawmaker might be contemplating on jumping to DP Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance from president Kenyatta’s Jubilee Party.

However, the lawmaker has refuted the rumors noting that she is still a Jubilee member and will support Raila Odinga and his Azimio La Umoja.

“Let me tell you what I am going to tell my people today. I’m like to state unequivocally that I am still a member of the Jubilee Party and support Azimio la Umoja. I haven’t changed my mind about the issue, and I am not sure when that will happen. I will inform many people, and I will disregard the propaganda being spread by my opponents,” the second-term lawmaker said.

Key to note is that Sabina has been missing from public rallies after the summon by IEBC few days ago after her claims that the government will steal votes in favor of Raila Odinga.
