Muranga County Women Representative Sabina Chege, over the weekend had visited different areas in Murang’a to address the residents and sensitize them on the BBI Bill as she also launched her Umbrellas project in different markets.
Sabina first posted to inform of the Kangari Innovators youth group where she issued them with hatchery incubators.
“Today, I visited the group at their local assembling point at Kangari town kigumo Constituency. The group will partner with my office to distribute the Incubators to the organized groups within Murang’a County.” she said
Visiting Kangari market, she had an interaction with traders in the area where the BBI was discussed into details in a bid to woo them into supporting the bill.
She however gave some directives concerning the market that is currently under renovation and traders are operating by the road side.
“As a remedy to mitigate the challenges experienced by these traders during these rainy seasons, I have issued the traders with market umbrellas to be used for the time being before the market is complete.” she said.
However, some of her followers were not happy with her Umbrellas project which they termed as cheap thrill to blind the residents on real development matters..
“You should have bought them food instead of umbrellas. Or are you not tired of oppressing the ordinary people?” Sam Njogu asked.
Some of her followers also accused her of using her area residents to her own selfish gains.
