Ruto shocks Kenyans-There are no people that have been abducted or executed by police under my rule

President William Ruto has left many Kenyans stunned after declaring that no cases of abductions or extrajudicial killings have occurred since he assumed office.

Speaking during a recent interview, the President dismissed claims that security agencies under his administration have been involved in enforced disappearances or police executions, insisting that such incidents are a thing of the past.

“There are no people that have been abducted or executed by police under my rule,” Ruto stated confidently. “We have reformed the police service to respect human rights and the rule of law.”

His remarks have, however, sparked mixed reactions online, with some Kenyans praising him for restoring discipline within the police force, while others accused him of denying the reality on the ground, citing several cases reported by families of missing persons.

Human rights organizations have repeatedly raised concerns over alleged police brutality and disappearances, urging the government to ensure transparency and justice for affected families.

President Ruto’s latest statement is likely to intensify public debate about the state of human rights and police accountability in Kenya.
