Former Gatanga Member of Parliament, Peter Kenneth, has amount of votes former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will get from Mt Kenya after President Uhuru Kenyatta supported his Presidential bid.
Uhuru, who talked at Sagana State Lodge, said after soul looking and searching for the future of the Mt Kenya residents, he chose to back Raila Odinga, depicting him as a democrat, a patriot, and somebody who holds the interests of Kenyans at heart.
While responding to Uhuru’s support of Raila Odinga, Kenneth said the backing will earn Azimio La Umoja 50% of votes from the Mt Kenya.
“Some of us have been with Raila for three years and in the last election, he got less than 3 percent votes from the region.
“But I have no doubts that he will now get 50 percent of Mt Kenya votes,” Kenneth said.
Kenneth talked in Kangema Constituency on Thursday during the burial of former Kangema MP Tirus Ngahu who died from stomach cancer.
