“Our Spouses Should Not be Victimised…” Karen Nyamu as She Congratulates Kawira Mwangaza For Win

Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu has appreciated Meru county governor Kawira Mwangaza for winning the impeachment motion that had been filed against her.

While making her contribution on Friday, she noted that the spouses of the Kenyan politicians should not be victimised for their decisions.

Senator Karen Nyamu, “The matter of first gentleman is going to be a normal occurrence going forward because a lot of us have ambitions to be Governors in this country, therefore, our spouses should not be victimized…”

The nominated Senator under the United Democratic Alliance movement Party had noted that she would defend the embattled Governor of Meru.

Karen in a note appealing to Kawira, said that she had learnt to survive in politics and thus has advise to impart.

“I want to have a glass of wine with my sister Hon Kawira Mwangaza first and foremost to congratulate her for emerging top in the Meru gubernatorial contest flooring her male counterparts. What you have achieved is no mean feat. we look up to you.”

Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza could not hold back her tears after the Senate Committee dismissed charges against her.

Mwangaza wiped her tears as the panel chairperson Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale read out the verdict.

The special hearing chaired by Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale made the verdict stating that none of the six charges and 62 grounds fronted were proved.

“After the consideration of charges made against Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza, all 11 members of the Special Senate Committee agreed and recommended that none of the charges was proved,” Khalwale stated.
