Kenya’s sprinting sensation Ferdinand Omanyala has revealed why he would demand KSh 6.4 million to race internet personality IShowSpeed.
Omanyala explained that, unlike IShowSpeed, whose income comes from online streaming, his livelihood depends entirely on running. He emphasized that an injury could severely affect his career and earnings, whereas IShowSpeed could continue streaming even if incapacitated.
“Speed can still stream on crutches, but I cannot race if injured,” Omanyala noted, highlighting the financial and professional risks involved in competitive athletics.
This clarification comes amid growing public interest after Omanyala expressed readiness to race the internet sensation for free, sparking debate over the logistics and value of such a challenge.
