Kenyan TikToker based in Germany, Pilot Nyako, has stirred online debate after taking a swipe at Citizen TV’s Lilian Muli, questioning her physical transformation and appearance over the years.
During a recent TikTok live session, Nyako was engaging her followers while discussing various Kenyan celebrities — praising some and criticizing others — when she turned her attention to the celebrated news anchor.
Nyako clarified that she doesn’t have any personal issues with Lilian Muli, but expressed shock at how different the media personality looks today compared to when she first met her. “Back then, Lilian was a dark-skinned, beautiful Kamba lady — a true black beauty,” Nyako said. “But when I saw her recently on Instagram, I couldn’t believe it. She’s very light now. I don’t know what happened.”
The TikToker’s comments have reignited online conversations surrounding Lilian Muli’s transformation, with some social media users speculating that she may have undergone skin-lightening — claims that remain unverified as the TV anchor has never publicly addressed them.
Nyako, however, refrained from making direct accusations, insisting that she was only sharing her observation. “It’s not my business, but the change is visible,” she said during the live session.
