New details have arisen on the secretive disappearance of Maureen Musungu, a 23-year-old Strathmore University student who disappeared fourteen days ago under baffling circumstances, causing alarm among her family.
Maureen had the last discussion with her sibling on Friday, May 21, and informed him that she was in Utawala, Embakasi.
she however didn’t disclose more details on whom she was with.
Before she left their home in Karen, she had informed her brother that she planned to meet friends in Nairobi CBD.
The student failed to get back on that day, prompting her parents to report her disappearance at the Karen police .
she however returned home days later,
According to her brother, she seemed weak and sick when she returned home.
It has now emerged that the third-year business information technology student was locked up by her boyfriend for two weeks at his apartment in Athi River.
He seized her phone with the goal that she .couldn’t reach her friends and family.
Her family took her for check up to establish whether she was ‘abused’ for the fourteen days she disappeared.
The matter is still under investigation
