For Faith Wanjiku, a 28-year-old woman from Nairobi, Kenya, married life had started with so much hope and excitement. She loved her husband deeply, and they shared dreams of building a happy family together. But her joy quickly turned into fear when her husband made an unexpected demand.
“He told me straight,” Faith recalls. “He said I had only one year to give him a baby boy, or else he would marry another woman. I was shocked and heartbroken. I loved him, and I wanted to give him a child, but I didn’t know what to do. I was scared that I would lose him forever.”
Faith tried everything she could think of from regular hospital check-ups to herbal remedies and prayers but nothing seemed to work. “Month after month passed, and I was still not pregnant.
