Mwingi top pupil fails to join Form One for lack of fees

Samuel Kikombo was the top performer in the 2022 KCPE exam at Kakululo Primary School in Mwingi West. Despite his exceptional achievement, the 15-year-old pupil has been unable to join Form One due to financial constraints. Samuel scored an impressive 367 marks in the KCPE, making him the best pupil in his school. He was supposed to join St John Tala Secondary School in Machakos, but his parents have been unable to raise the required school fees.

Lucia Masaa, Samuel’s mother, revealed that she is currently jobless and unable to raise the funds required for her son’s education. She only does manual jobs, and the tough economic times have made it difficult for her to make ends meet. Although she has managed to borrow Sh7,000 from well-wishers, she still has a deficit of Sh10,000.

Samuel has made a heartfelt plea for help from well-wishers to enable him to join secondary school. He is eager to continue with his education and pursue his dreams of a better future. His mother has also appealed to kind-hearted individuals to support her son’s education. The family is hopeful that their prayers will be answered, and Samuel will soon be able to start his secondary school education.
