Popular comedian Mulamwah has finally opened up about his decision to block media personality Oga Obinna, shedding light on the incident that sparked tension between the two.
According to Mulamwah, the fallout stemmed from a joke made by Obinna and content creator Dem Wa Facebook, in which they claimed that Mulamwah’s child resembled the late actor Papa Shirandula. What may have been intended as humor, Mulamwah says, struck a deeply personal nerve.
Speaking out, Mulamwah described the comment as not only disrespectful but also hurtful, particularly because it came from individuals he once regarded as friends. He emphasized that while some jokes might seem harmless to the public, they can carry a different weight when family—and especially children—are involved.
“To some, it may be funny, but to a parent, it hits differently,” he remarked, highlighting the emotional impact of the comment.
The incident has sparked conversations about the fine line between comedy and insensitivity, especially in the age of social media where content creators often push boundaries for laughs. For Mulamwah, it appears some lines simply shouldn’t be crossed.
