The family of Edward Mwaigo Maghanga, a pastor at Deliverance for All Nations Church in Voi, Taita Taveta County, has taken a bold step to exhume his body after a delay in justice. Maghanga, a devout man and father of nine, was allegedly buried in secret by his wife, Hana Malemba, without the consent of his close relatives.
According to Malemba, the decision to exhume the body came after a frustrating delay in legal proceedings. She revealed that, despite asking for her son’s body in court, she was denied, with authorities stating that he would be buried in a cemetery. Malemba strongly opposed this idea, insisting that her son’s final resting place should reflect the dignity he deserved.
Determined to honor Maghanga’s memory, Malemba and her family took matters into their own hands, exhuming his body from the unapproved grave. This action was driven by the desire to give him a proper send-off and address the family’s grievances over the manner of the burial.
The exhumation has sparked further tensions between the family and the wife, raising questions about the lack of transparency in the burial process and the delay in justice.
As the family mourns, they remain resolute in their pursuit of justice and dignity for their loved one.
