Prominent political figure Mosiria has issued a stark warning to Nairobi residents, advising them against voting for Embakasi East MP Babu Owino in the upcoming gubernatorial race.
Speaking to journalists, Mosiria said he is familiar with Babu Owino’s past and promised to reveal more details in due course. He cited incidents from the MP’s history that he says demonstrate a pattern of aggressive behaviour, including an alleged altercation involving a DJ and controversial actions during his time as SONU leader at the University of Nairobi.
“Imagine a person shooting a DJ because he was asked to stop inappropriate conduct,” Mosiria said, highlighting past events he believes reflect on Owino’s suitability for leadership. He further described Babu Owino as a manipulator and someone who has, in his view, engaged in intimidation tactics.
The remarks have sparked debate across social media and political circles, with supporters of Babu Owino defending his record as a youth advocate and criticising the timing and tone of the allegations.
