According to a report from CorrectNG, a man from Cameroon recently won a staggering amount of ksh2.2 billion ($22 million) through a bet on 1xBet. However, the betting company allegedly refused to pay him the full amount and instead offered him ksh68,700,000 as a settlement.
The man, who had initially wagered ksh35,000, rejected the offer and demanded the original sum. In response, the company purportedly deleted his account to avoid making any payment. Frustrated with the situation, the man shared his plight with the youth in his neighborhood who showed their support by staging a protest at the 1xBet offices armed with weapons.
The situation turned violent as clashes erupted between the protesters and the company personnel, although there were no reports of casualties. The man later shared his story on a local radio station.
