A man from Zimbabwe has been jailed for 9 months after he was found guilty of assaulting another man who spanked his girlfriend’s buttocks.
The man identified as Bornwell Subanda is said to have been walking in town on April 4, with his girlfriend when they met one Mbakezeli Mpofu who spanked the lady without her consent.
A seemingly angry Sibanda is said to have jumped on the man and slapped him before landing him kicks on the mouth and stomach.
Mpofu was then taken to Victoria Falls Hospital by kind citizens where he was treated and discharged.
Later on, Sibanda was then arrested and charged in court where he pleaded with Victoria falls Magistrate, Linda Dzvene for a lighter sentence seeing that he was only defending his girlfriend from street peverts.
I only did it for my lady and if you were in my shoe, you’d have done just what I did because the man disrespected my woman in my eyes.”
Sibanda said.
He was however Sentenced to 9 months in prison after pleading guilty of the offence.
