Betty left her job at K24 in May 2020 after refusing to accept a pay cut and has since been relying on her businesses to maintain her luxurious lifestyle.
Recently, Betty received criticism for charging male clients an exorbitant fee of Ksh1,400 for a haircut at her barbershop, Aftershave by Flair. The service also included a full manicure. Some critics have labeled this pricing strategy as exploitative, as they believe that such a simple service should not cost that much.
Despite the backlash, Betty has been successful in her entrepreneurial ventures and has hosted numerous events such as corporate gigs and club events. While her pricing strategy for Aftershave by Flair has drawn criticism, her other businesses continue to thrive in the capital city.
