A Boy from Laikipia County has mentioned to journalists what bandits told his dad before spraying him with bullets in the skirmishes in Ol Moran
The kid said his dad Peter Kairu tried to ask for leniency from the bandits however they could hear none of it.
The boy said when the bandits came to their home, his dad advised him to hide under the bed and he heard all the discussion that was going on.
The youngster said the crooks who were armed with every kind of weaponry told his dad that they ‘were outsiders’ in Laikipia County and they were the source of their problems.
These revelations come as two politicians were on Wednesday arrested for subsidizing and arming the bandits.
Tiaty MP, William Kamket and former Laikipia North MP Mathew Lempurkel, were said to be the ones who impelled West Pokot bandits against residents.
The two, will charges of indictments related to breach of peace and destruction of property.
