The Kikuyu Council of elders have at last opened up on their favourite presidential candidate between former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto, ahead of the August ninth elections.
As things stand, Raila Odinga, who is using Azimio La Umoja Movement to charm himself to the majority, and Ruto, who is using Kenya Kwanza Alliance, are the leaders in the front to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
Talking on Friday, the elders led by Former Nairobi city hall mayor Dick Waweru, said they have taken a gander at the two competitors and they have chosen Raila Odinga as the best to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in August.
Waweru further said they will remain with President Uhuru Kenyatta, who was quick to embrace Raila Odinga since he saw he is more fit than Ruto and other presidential hopeful.
He further expressed that Uhuru’s decision represents the desires of the community and is aimed at ensuring the country is united.
