Khaligraph and Ayra Starr to perform at Nairobi Shoke Shoke festival

Nigerian afrobeat sensation, Ayra Starr, also known as Onyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, is scheduled to perform in Nairobi, Kenya next month. The popular ‘Rush’ hitmaker made her first performance in the country last year and will now be performing at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) during the Shoke Shoke festival.

Ayra Starr confirmed her upcoming show through a video on Instagram and urged her fans to grab their tickets as soon as possible. The event planners also posted on Twitter, asking their followers what they will say if they miss Ayra Starr’s performance at Shoke Shoke.

The organizers have announced that the fast-rising star will headline the festival on March 4, 2023, from 4 pm till late alongside other popular artists such as Khaligraph Jones, Mejja, Boutross, and the Only Rosa.

The 20-year-old musician rose to fame in 2021 after the release of her hit song “Bloody Samaritan”. She is currently signed to Nigerian super producer Don Jazzy’s Marvin Records. Besides being a musician, Ayra Starr is also a songwriter and a model. In 2018, she signed with Quove Model Company to develop her modeling career but later discovered her passion for music.

Ayra Starr is currently one of the most streamed non-East African acts on digital stores across East African countries. Last year, she performed in Kenya for the first time, teaming up with Bien Aime Baraza. The Sautisol members also surprised fans by joining her on stage, even though they were not on the performance list.
