Kenyan comedian Mulamwah has recently caught the attention of American rap star Nicki Minaj. According to an interview with Plug TV Kenya, Mulamwah revealed that he is in talks with Minaj and is set to travel to the US in a few weeks to finalize a deal where he will be featured in her upcoming music video.
Mulamwah credits his unique African complexion on social media for capturing the attention of Minaj’s agency, which was searching for an African man for her music video. He believes that his portrayal of a unique African character with pride on his social media pages fit their criteria.
Mulamwah revealed that it was Minaj’s agency that reached out to him for the collaboration, and he is not interested in being paid for the opportunity. He believes that the association between him and Minaj will help him build his brand and boost his career.
Interestingly, Mulamwah is not the first Kenyan celebrity to talk about working with Nicki Minaj. Bahati had earlier announced on Instagram that he would be collaborating with the American rapper in 2023.
