Manzi Wa Kibera’s former “estranged husband” was laid to rest in absentia on May 1st, 2024, at Lang’ata Cemetery, as disclosed by her manager on her social media platforms. The family of the late Mzee Kijana, also known as Sammy Nzuki, opted for a private burial, keeping away from the media.
While the precise reasons for the family’s decision to conduct a private burial were not disclosed, the manager hinted that it might have been due to both a desire to avoid media attention and an inability to organize a public send-off.
Despite some insufficiency in the funds contributed, the manager denied allegations that Manzi Wa Kibera misappropriated funds from Mzee Kijana during their alleged relationship. The manager emphasized that their association was strictly digital content-related and not romantic.
Regarding the burial, the manager revealed that they were granted permission by the family to pay tribute to Mzee Kijana at his gravesite in Lang’ata, following the private ceremony. However, Manzi Wa Kibera has yet to announce when she plans to visit the grave but maintains that she and the late Mzee were not romantically involved.
“I want to clarify that I never had a romantic relationship with the late Mzee Nzuki. Our connection was solely based on online content, nothing more,” insists Manzi Wa Kibera.
