Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has called out Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru for faulting him directly.
Waiguru had earlier requested the president to sack Kibicho for involving himself in politics.
I want to tell the president that there are many people he can employ in Kirinyaga. He should replace Kibicho with immediate effect, said Waiguru.
However in a tackle, the PS asked the governor to keef off his name seeing that he was in no way involved in Kirinyaga County politics.
“You can’t fail in your duties then want to cling to Kibicho. My office is in Harambee House, not in Kirinyaga. I do not have an office in Kirinyaga. I have nothing to do with the corruption happening in Kirinyaga. When you are pursued because of corruption please leave Kibicho out of it,” he said.
“If you think you will cling to Kibicho’s name for your political expediency then you are wrong. You can abuse me all you want but it will not stick on my back. Kirinyaga people are the ones to decide. If you do not have a dictionary of abusive words, I can offer one,” added Kibicho.
The bad blood between Kibicho and Waiguru is said to be because of thee fact that the PS is supporting the County Women Representative, Purity Ngirici who has shown an interest in the county’s top seat come next year.
