The Twendy Twendy Hitmaker Justina Syokau was speaking during an interview with Dr Ofweneke at TV 47.
In the interview, the controversial singer opened up on various issues surrounding her music career and personal Life.
Justina On her big Nyash
The controversial singer revealed that it costed her 3 million Kenyan shillings to broaden her nyash. The proceeding which was done in US did however not go well, prompting her to go for correction at a cost of 600,000 Kenyan Shillings.
“Nilienda US nikaambia daktari atoe mafuta kwa tumbo na mgongo aweke nyuma. The process cost me 3 millions. But baadaye niligudua ilikuwa inakaa vibaya. Ilikuwa inahitaji maintenance. It was so heavy plus ilikuwa imehang side moja,” she said.
According to her, 2023 is her year to rest.
“2023 ni mwaka wangu wa kupumzika nikipanuliwa mipaka.”
Justina Syokau Still Single
Justina Syokau told Dr. Ofweneke that she is still single and looking for a husband. The singer opened up on her struggles of getting a husband in the year 2022.
“Mimi niko Soko. I am still single. Bado sijapata bwana,” Justina told Dr. Ofweneke.
According to her, attempts to get one did not bear fruits.She narrated how she tried various Kenyan celebrities in vain.
“Last year I crushed on Ryvanny. But alisema si mimi alikuwa anataka. Alikuwa anataka collabo.”
Justina further revealed that she had a crush on gospel Singer Ringtone Apoko but it turned out he was faking his lifestyle. After thorough investigation, she found out that Apoko did not have the huge wealth he claimed to have.
“I also had a crush on Ringtone Apoko. Nilikuwa namtaka sana but I realized hakuna kitu kama runda house na magari,” added.
On the qualities of a husband she is seeking, Justina maintained that he must be super rich and good in bedroom matters.
“Mimi nataka mtu mwenye ako na pesa. Probably a billionaire. Mwenye tukienda supermarket nachukua chenye nataka. But lazima akuwe fiti kwa kitanda, otherwise hatutakuwa tunafanya kazi yeyote.”
Kupanuliwa hit song
Justina Syokau further addressed the controversy surrounding her hit song ‘twendy twendy three ni mwaka wa kupanuliwa‘.
She maintained that she did not use the word ‘kupanuliwa‘ in order to trend. According to her, the word kupanuliwa means extension, which is why she used the it.
She further dismissed claims that her songs bring about bad omens. According Dr. Ofweneke, Justina sang about 2020 before corona struck. She also sang about 2021 and 2022, years that had very tough economic times.
“In my recent video, you saw me crying. Watu wanasema nawaroga. That is not true. When I sing, I speak on what I want God to do for me. But unaona mwanaume akishindwa kupata bibi na pesa ananilaumu.“
