Joy Wa Macharia who also calls herself One Lady Guitar is a famous Kikuyu Mugithi artist who has released several hit songs with millions of viewers on her channel. Apart from being a female artist, she is also a famous radio presenter at Coro Fm where she hosts a night show called Mugithi Friday night a show that is aired every Saturday night.

Joy Wangari Macharia alias Joy wa Macari was born in Muranga county Kangema constituency Iyego ward as a second born in a family of four children.

Joy started her primary education at G3 primary school which is still in his homeward from standard one up to standard seven where she was later transferred to Nyakahura Primary School where she completed his primary education in standard 8.

After his form, four exam Joy joined the Kenya institute of media studies where she studied journalism. Joy first worked at Radio Maisha station as a volunteer then she went for her internship at KBC, Coro FM. After her internship, Joy continued working there for two years without pay but later she was employed.

she released her first song in June 2018 which later became a hit resulting in her big fame.
