During an interview with Lynn Ngugi, Felix Odiwuor, popularly known as Jalang’o, who serves as the Member of Parliament for Langata and is a radio host, disclosed previously undisclosed information about his rapport with Jeff Koinange, the news presenter at Citizen TV and former co-host at Hot 96.
Jalang’o vehemently dismissed speculations about a rift between him and Koinange, asserting that their friendship remains strong. He went on to share a remarkable gesture from Koinange, who generously presented him with a prestigious Audemars Piguet watch valued at over Sh3 million as a birthday gift.
Reflecting on his collaborative experience with Koinange, Jalang’o conveyed that despite initial uncertainties, the duo managed to create a captivating dynamic on their show. Furthermore, Jalang’o shed light on his decision to transition from Hot 96 to Milele FM, attributing it to an enticing offer from his close friend and brother, Alex Mwakideu.
Notably, he revealed that his departure from Royal Media Services, where he previously worked, led to strained relations with his former boss, Fred Afune, who harbors lingering resentment over Jalang’o’s decision to move on.
