Siaya Governor James Orengo has formally requested a meeting with President William Ruto to discuss development initiatives in Siaya County. This outreach comes amid reports that Orengo was previously excluded from discussions between President Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga regarding a coalition agreement. Sources suggest that Orengo’s critical stance led to his marginalization during these talks.
Despite his criticisms of the Kenya Kwanza administration, Orengo emphasizes the importance of unity and development. He urges ODM leaders to be cautious about joining the Cabinet without a formal agreement, warning that such moves could undermine the party’s integrity.
