The instances of men being lured into homosexual acts, particularly in Nairobi’s nightclubs, are on the rise. Shockingly, there has been a significant increase in the number of men joining the LGBTQ Community in Nairobi, Kenya. Consequently, men are increasingly becoming victims of sodomy.
Jalang’o, also known as Felix Odour, a Lang’ata Member of Parliament, is a famous personality who has fallen prey to this trend. In an interview with an online media outlet, Jalang’o recounted how a fellow man made advances towards him in a Nairobi club’s washroom. After completing his business, Jalang’o caught the man staring at him suggestively.
The man then went ahead and referred to Jalang’o as ‘babe’ and attempted to seduce him. Furious, Jalang’o nearly kicked the man. On that fateful night, he was approached by two men and has never returned to the club since.
There are several clubs in Nairobi that cater exclusively to the LGBTQ Community, and it has been revealed that various celebrities have had similar experiences to Jalang’o’s. It appears that the gay community is now more confident and no longer afraid to express themselves openly, as they now have the freedom of association granted by the Supreme Court. As a result, it is expected that there will be more cases like this in the future.
