Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura has called for calm among Kenyans following a helicopter crash in Kaben, Marakwet East, expressing concern that senior military officials might be among the eight officers feared dead. The aircraft also carried bureaucratic officers from the Ministry of Defence.

Mwaura assured the public that an official statement regarding the incident would be released promptly. “Dear fellow Kenyans, an official communication regarding the Military Aircraft Crash will be forthcoming. Let us remain composed and refrain from engaging in any speculations during this critical time,” he conveyed via his official account.

The Kenya Air Force Huey Helicopter, reportedly transporting officers of General rank, tragically crashed and caught fire shortly after taking off from a local primary school. The Department of Defense headquarters confirmed their intention to issue a statement on the matter.
