The University of Nairobi is one of the highest-ranked universities in the world. Its main campus is located in Nairobi while the mini- campus placed in Mombasa, Kisumu, Kakamega, Nakuru, and Eldoret. It is a University known for scholarly excellence since it had molded most of our Kenyan leaders.
Despite its location in Nairobi, the university used to offer affordable accommodation on their campus hostels considering that most of the humble backgrounds across the country. However, it was unfortunate for students and parents after the campus recently revised its accommodation fees.
New students joining their first year of study are also required to pay Ksh 19,635 for accommodation only. Students staying in the hostels and their final year of study are now expected to pay Ksh 21,525 per semester. For the ones in shared rooms, they are supposed to pay Ksh 15,120.
